My Royal eminence…
This has surely been the utter most, uninspiring Christmas yet. Is that not so?
I’m sorry did we miss something? Perhaps, a miscalculated move? Indeed the high cost of living has driven each individual, (because everyone is feeling it), to the inner most depths of their “basket of possible sacrifices,” leaving them running inside and outside of the city like mad men, looking for a decent living.(sighs) What is life?
(Relaxing, minding my business then i notice something in the sky). Is that a bird? Is that a plane? No. It’s our golden days fading into the wind. Is there surely nothing we could do about it? For instance, back in the day we had this joyous activity called “nguo ya krisi,” Where kids would put on fresh or possibly new outfits, then go out and play with their friends who also had new outfits. Meanwhile, mom is making chapo’s, stew and pilau and relatives came over and everyone is in a great mood. Oh yes! What a wonderful time to be alive. I know times got hard, but what happened to the culture?
When Whitney said, “…though hope is frail, it’s hard to kill,” in hers’ and Mariah’s – When you believe, I couldn’t help but feel it completely. As a people, our hope is dimming down and we can all see it, we sure as hell can feel it too. But here’s the secret; the kind of armor built around hope, is unlike any we know of. It was built to withstand all this trauma and so much more, just don’t get tired of carrying it with you. The moment you put it down, the enemy will attack. You have, after all, exposed yourself. Stay strong and give yourself some credit. None of this is easy. Come to think of it, there’s so much we aren’t giving ourselves credit for, most especially, thanking God for. I think it all boils down to whether or not you’re nurturing a grateful heart. Be grateful for the small beautiful things and watch your life, bloom.
Why don’t you add that in your list of “habits to start practicing this coming decade,” since I’m sure you have another list of “foods to try out,” or “places to visit…” You don’t? Well chap chap… Get to it!

All I’m trying to say is, our current situation could have slightly been out of or hands, but fixing it is absolutely our responsibility. We have like, 11 months, to ride off any excuse to be angry or to hold a grudge or be grumpy and irritable… but when it comes to the festive season, it’s that time to lift those burdens, friend.
I seemingly had higher expectations from the Christmas of 2019; the end of this incredibly rich decade. But oh well! Better luck next time. I am still grateful for all the blessings and all the lessons. That’s right, If you walk into life set with a positive mind, there will be no loosing, only learning. Let us also be grateful for all the opportunities that will come because, hear me when I say; God isn’t done displaying His magnificence in your life.
Despite it all, I am honestly just, so excited. I would love for you to be excited with me, so let’s do this! Let’s be grateful each day. Then find our way back to ourselves and to each other as a unit, a team, a family and as a nation.
Cheers; to a colorful Christmas next year, and the one after that and so on… and to laying a positive mindset. Indeed, it’s a cold world and we need to keep our hearts warm. It needs to feel like chocolate in our souls, it has to start deep inside of our hearts. Trust me.
*Christmas bells*
It is Christmas nonetheless, so have yourself a jolly one! And a Prosperous New Year ahead, as well.
